Well, the day came. The Loose Id website is gone. My first publisher is no more. It’s just a couple of months short of eight years since I first submitted to them. Eight years and fifteen novels & novellas. I’ve learned so much from their editors. They always gave me great covers. It’s been a great time.
So what now for the books?
Some are already back out, as the rights have come back to me since the first announcement of the closure.
Most of the others will be available again on or around the 15th of May. The buy links will appear on the book pages then. I’ll blog once they are showing on Amazon and Smashwords.
Paperbacks will still be around on the secondary market – that’s Ebay, Amazon Marketplace and the like.
Into the Sunrise is going to a new home at JMS books and will be re-released on the 30th of June.
What now for me?
I blogged a while back about how I was looking to move on from the erotic romance genre, and then Loose Id’s closure came along. seeming to put the ribbon on that decision. I’m still sticking with that decision, so after the release of Into the Sunrise there won’t be many more updates to this website or blog.
Once I’m done with the project to re-publish the Loose Id books, I’m going to chill for a couple of months. Read, sleep, watch stuff I need to catch up on (Star Trek: Discovery, I’m coming for you at last), catch Pokemon, enjoy the summer generally. All while thinking about what I write next. I have ideas, I just need to work on developing them. I have a novella I wrote a couple of years ago that I’ve have two cracks at editing and still not got right. Third time lucky maybe? Or come the autumn there’s always my old friend, NaNoWriMo…
A note on the GDPR stuff you’ve probably all heard a ton about. If you’re getting an email when I post to the blog, I don’t have your email for that. It’s all done by WordPress. If you want to unsubscribe, there’s a link at the bottom of the email.
I’ll be back when the books come out around the 15th and then for the the re-release of Into the Sunrise in June.
